8 Ball Clearance Competition

DUKES HEAD NOTCH UP YET ANOTHER TOTAL CLEARANCE BUT PAUL HAWKINS STILL LEADS THE WAY

Division 2 side the Dukes Head have once again underlined their credentials by notching up yet another break and dish to bring their team total to 3, with the latest having been made by Tony Litchfield in the Dukes Head's 10--2 thumping of the Royal Oak B. Also flying the flag for Division 2 are the Village Inn with Carl Wyman notching an impressive dish in the Village Inn's

However, still leading the way is the Bridge House's Paul Hawkins who has notched a hugely impressive 3 break and total clearances this season, all within the space of three weeks.

Remember, the player who produces the highest number of dishes (a break and subsequent total clearance) at the end of the Season will be crowned the 8 Ball Clearance Champion and will be the recipient of a nice trophy in recognition of their achievements.  Don't forget to note any dishes on your Scorecards or simply text the name of the player who has completed one to the Fixtures and Results Secretary.

Penalty Points Introduction

PENALTY POINTS TO BE INTRODUCED FOR LATE SUBMISSION OF RESULTS AND SCORECARDS

Following repeated requests, we are still having to chase several teams for missing Results and Scorecards following each week of Fixtures. We have therefore decided to introduce a Penalty Points System for late submission of either Results or Scorecards which will take effect from the New Year.

The following Points Deductions will be imposed:-

Results

It is the responsibility of the Winning Team to text their Result to the Fixtures and Results Secretary. In the event of a draw, it is the responsbility of both Teams to text in the Result. Two Penalty Points will be applied to the Winning Team if Results are received any later than Friday evening. In the event of a draw, Two Penalty Points will be applied to both Teams.

An additional Three Penalty Points will be incurred for each subsequent late Result.

Scorecards

It is the responsibility of both Teams to complete and submit a Scorecard following each match. Scorecards can either be posted or a photo of the card text or emailed to the Fixtures and Resultts Secretary. Three Penalty Points will be applied to any Team whose Scorecard is received any later than the Tuesday evening following the Match.

An additional Five Penalty Points will be incurred for each subsequent late receipt of the Scorecard from any Team.

Hopefully, there will be no cause to apply any Penalty Points, and we have no wish to do so, but we are unable to complete Divisional Player Stats without sight of the Scorecards and many players are rightly keen to see how their individual stats compare against other players in the League.

You have been warned Ladies and Gentlemen.

Division 1 & 2 Fixture Amendments

BDPL WINTER LEAGUE 2012 DIVISION 1 AND 2 FIXTURES AMENDED

Will Division 1 and 2 Teams please note that we have been notified of some fixture clashes relating to the Woodcutters A and B Teams. As a result, it's been necessary to revisit the Division 1 and 2 Fixtures and amend them slightly to ensure that any fixture clashes are eradicated.

Albeit, the amendments primarily relate to any fixtures involving the Woodcutters B Teams, there are a small number of amended fixtures relating to other matches and we would therefore ask that all Division 1 and 2 Teams direct themselves to the Fixtures and Results Section of the Website where the revised Fixtures are available to view and download.

DRAW FOR THE FIRST ROUND OF THE KEITH STRONG MEMORIAL TROPHY TAKES PLACE

The Draw has been made for the First Round of the Keith Strong Memorial Trophy with ties to be played on Thursday 16th November, 2012.

In some of the more eye catching fixtures in Round 1, the William Twigg travel to the Bridge House in the Round's only all Premier League tie.
